Nick Sagan (b. September 16, 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American novelist and screenwriter. He is the creator of the science fiction novels Idlewild and Edenborn, and his screen credits include many episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager.

A boy of uranologist Carl Sagan and artist/writer Linda Salzman, Nick’s greeting “Hello from them of planet Earth,� was recorded & laid aboard NASA’s Voyager Golden Record, now a virtually all distant person-manufactured object in the universe.
